Premier League Striker to Join Jamie Vardy Up Top?

Leicester City have reportedly had an £11.5 million bid accepted for Chelsea striker Loic Remy according to The Independent. The French international has had a tough time at Chelsea being second best to Diego Costa and usually finding himself on the bench.

Already being a proven striker at Newcastle and QPR in the Premier League, Leicester City are certainly getting a trustworthy striker. With Jamie Vardy having the season of his life, things can only get better for Claudio Ranieri and his title charging squad.

Let us know what you think. Is this smart business by Ranieri?

Liverpool Dealt Blow In Hunt For Attacker

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Liverpool's hopes of signing Brazilian forward Alex Teixeira have taken a hit after the Shakhtar chief executive told Liverpool to forget about signing him.

It has been widely reported that Liverpool have weighed in with two bids so far, however both of those have been lower than Shakhtar would like for their main man.

It was initially thought that Shakhtar were resigned to losing the frontman, however it is now thought they wish to keep him until the end of the season at least.

It has been reported that Shakhtar wanted around £36m for the Brazilian star, but chief executive Sergei Palkin has now claim that Teixeira's release clause is in fact much higher.

This story has evolved into one of the sagas of the January transfer window, the question is - will Jurgen Klopp eventually get his man? Let us know!

Chelsea Defender Faces Surprise Exit

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is wanted by Serie A side, Roma.

Amid the crisis at Chelsea, Cahill's place in the starting eleven has come under scrutiny leading to him starting just 5 games in the last 2 months. After an imperious campaign last time out, Cahill is now worried that a lack of football will cost him his place in the England squad at the upcoming Euro's in the Summer.

Roma recently shipped out Gervinho to Chinese side Hebei China Fortune and are looking to reinvest that cash instantly with Cahill rumoured to be a top target.

Chelsea's deal to sign Matt Miazga will hardly have helped to reassure Cahill of his place in the team.

Chelsea fans, do you want Cahill to stick around? Let us know!

City, United and Chelsea To Miss Out On World Class Striker?

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all look to be missing out on Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski. The striker is set to put off a move to any of the English clubs to wait for Real Madrid's transfer ban to be lifted in the summer according to the Independent.

17 goals in 17 games this season explains the high amount of interest Lewandowski has gained. Real have clearly put 2013 behind them when he scored 4 goals against the Spanish side to reach the final of the Champions League.

Is Gary Neville Right About The Premier League?

It's no secret that the Premier League is the wealthiest in world football. Buying foreign stars for large amounts of money has become a ritual. From teenagers with blistering futures to players at the peak of their powers, England has become accustom to spending big money.

Sky Sports pundit and now Valencia boss Gary Neville recently spoke about the problems with English football when covering a match between West Ham and Newcastle.

He highlighted that 'we (being the English league) are funding the rest of Europe...' and he's not wrong.

Examples that he spoke about consist of Anthony Martial for £36 million and Roberto Firmino for £20 million in which their previous clubs stated it was huge amounts of money.

He goes on to mention how 'we are a bank' simply due to the amount of money the Premier League has.

Do you agree with him? Let us know!

Chelsea After Striker Swap Deal

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Chelsea are interested in Leicester City's Jamie Vardy and are prepared to offer Loic Remy as a part exchange.

The paper claims that Chelsea's interest in Vardy stems from Leicester's own interest in Remy, citing their £7.6m bid for the Frenchman as evidence. Chelsea are looking to use this interest to make a deal for Jamie Vardy.

However, Leicester have apparently maintained a strong stance and are thought to not be letting Vardy go this transfer window.

This leaves the Remy deal in tatters and it seems Leicester will have to look elsewhere if they want to bolster their attacking options.

Would Jamie Vardy get in the Chelsea team? What do you think?

United Could Lose Club Legend

The Daily Mirror are reporting that if Ryan Giggs is overlooked for the manager's job, he could end his association with the club.

Although Van Gaal isn't out of the job yet, his departure seems imminent with the combination of United's poor form and boring football frustrating fans. The Dutchman has actually resigned from 6 of his last 8 jobs.

Giggs has been caretaker manager for a period before but United are worried that he won't even consider that unless it is thought to lead to something permanent.

United face a rather tricky FA Cup tie against Derby on Friday and this potential banana skin could spell the end for Van Gaal. Giggs was linked with the then vacant job at Swansea previously but perhaps opted to stay at Old Trafford to keep himself in the running.

What do you think United fans - get Giggs in the hotseat ASAP or keep him as no. 2?

Have Chelsea Finally Got Their Man?

The January transfer window is in full flight, and one of the biggest stories is Chelsea’s hunt for a new striker. With a number of teams being linked with Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, his fellow countryman and F1 star Flipe Massa dropped a huge hint on his Instagram account just a few days ago.

He writes, ‘I am sure it will be very good for you my bro!!’ Massa clearly knows something we don’t. The rumour has been around for a few weeks now but this post has turned the situation from ‘if’ to ‘when’ Pato will sign for Chelsea.

United Monitoring FC Porto Duo

Manchester Evening News are reporting that Manchester United are monitoring FC Porto pair Bruno Martins-Indi and Ruben Neves.

The publication claims United had scouts at Porto's match this weekend versus Maritimo. With Louis Van Gaal having so many injury problems this year, it is thought he's eyeing up Martins-Indi to finally bring an end to the saga.

Van Gaal knows Martins-Indi particularly well from his time as Dutch National team manager.

Ruben Neves is seen as more of a target for the future as the youngster is highly sought after by a number of top clubs. Neves recently won his first Portugal caps and is the youngest FC Porto player to make 50 appearances.

Chelsea Have £38m Deal In Place To Sign Striker

The Daily Express is reporting that Chelsea have a £38m deal in place with Monaco to sign Radamel Falcao.

Paperwork has reportedly been leaked, claiming that Chelsea have until April to decide if they want to sign the Colombian striker on a permanent basis from parent club Monaco.

Falcao has really struggled to make an impact since his move to Stamford Bridge an has found the net only once whilst missing a large portion of the season through injury.

It is thought that the loan deal was free of charge, however a permanent transfer will cost the Champions a significant amount more.

I think paying that much for Falcao on a permanent basis would just about sum up Chelsea's season so far!

Chelsea Dealt Blow On £75m Target

The Daily Express is reporting that Chelsea target Antione Griezemann has claimed he has no desire to leave Spain.

Chelsea are known to be in the market for attackers with them recently being linked with Alexandre Pato, however it looks like they may miss out on the Atletico Madrid forward.

There were reports recently that Atletico have moved to increase the Frenchman's buy-out clause from £60m to £75m to ward off any potential suitors. Griezemann's contract runs out in 2020.

United After £63m Madrid Star

The Daily Express are reporting that Manchester United have held talks with Real Madrid over the transfer of World Cup star James Rodriguez.

It is thought that Rodriguez fell out with former Madrid boss Rafa Benitez shortly before his departure, however, it appears that relations with Zidane are also strained. Zidane is reportedly not a fan of the Colombian's attitude in training.

Rodriguez is managed by 'super agent' Jorge Mendes and United's good relationship with the Portuguese could help nudge the deal over the line.

United fans - would you be happy with this signing?

United And City To Battle For Brazilian Forward

Italian news outlet Gazzetta World are reporting that both Manchester United and Manchester City are to battle it out over the signing of Brazilian Forward Neymar.

The clubs have been long-time admirers of the Barcelona attacker, but until recently, the player is thought to have been happy over in Spain.

However, it appears that Neymar is now more open to a move with Italian sports journalist, Tancredi Palmeri citing the reason that he wants to be the 'main man' at a club. Despite a prolific season and growing reputation, Neymar knows this won't be the case at Barcelona, or at least for a long time.

The 2015/16 Premier League Team Of The Season So Far

Having passed the half way mark of the season, we discuss our team of the season so far!

Jack Butland
The 22 year old has been one of the talking points this season. Providing top performances for Stoke City, Jack is one of the main reasons for their success so far. It's fair to say the England goalkeeper has a big future ahead.

Hector Bellerin
The Arsenal right back has shown strong levels of consistency throughout the seasons so far. His pace and attacking presence have enabled him to pick up several assists and also provide another option for the team.

Is This Manchester United Legend Spot On?

There is no doubt that United haven't been their usual prolific attacking selves of late. Some say its down to current manager Louis Van Gaal's approach to games, or the fact that the squad simply isn't good enough.

With arguably only two world class players, David De Gea and Wayne Rooney, in their ranks, this Manchester United team is far behind it's main rivals in Manchester City.

The early exit out of the Champions League also shows the backwards step that the 20-time Premier League champions have taken.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has expressed his opinion about the current squad a number of times complaining how they play 'boring, sideways football.' Is he right?

In their last 10 home games, United have failed to score in the first half of every one. Something the fans are not used to. Boos on the half time whistle show how frustrated the United fans are, and rightly so.

Should the Red Devils be busy in the transfer window?

Let us know!

The Promising Future For English Football

Jack Butland

Having started off the season so brightly, Jack Butland has become arguably the best performing goalkeeper in the Premier League this season. With openly speaking about how he is more than happy to compete with number 1 goalkeeper Joe Hart, there is certainly a bright future for England.

John Stones

Being linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, there is no doubt that John Stones has a very promising career ahead of him. Compared to the ranks of John Terry and Rio Ferdinand, Stones certainly has the attributes to become a high quality centre half. The 21 year old is certain to reach a high number of caps for the national side.

Dele Alli

The young Spurs midfielder as started off his Premier League career in 6th gear. Having featured in 18 of the 20 league games so far it shows how important he is becoming to the spine of Tottenham's team. 19 years old and the vocal point of many discussions it is clear to see that Alli has a great future ahead of him.

Ross Barkley

Everton's local lad Ross Barkley has increased his profile year by year by improving both his scoring statistics and assists. Taking control of Everton's number 10 role, Barkley has shown he is capable of playing in a position wanted by many. The 22 year old already has England caps under his belt, and is going to continue to do so.

Harry Kane
Reaching 50 goals for Tottenham at the age of just 22 is a remarkable achievement. England's new front man had hit top form in 2015 and is looking to carry this on through the 2016 campaign. There is no doubt that scoring goals will not be a problem for England with Harry Kane as their frontman.
